Not a fan of sports betting.
I went to a cheer competition on Saturday. That was a fun day, my niece's cheer squad got 1st place and I learned that my niece can carry girls on her shoulders. I now know why she takes weightlifting and is one of the few cheerleaders to do so.
I have never been to one. I saw one girl get tossed to the ground, she blacked out near the end of her squad's cheer, another one twisted her ankle when her back spot did not let go of it. She also completed the routine before crawling off the floor. Another one also twisted their ankle when they came down wrong after being lifted into the air. She also completed, before limping off and being carried by her dad towards the sports doctor who wrapped up her ankle.
Yet, somehow according to my niece's high school, cheerleading is not a sport. They are just there to look nice in 8-year-old cheer uniforms, they want new ones, but every time they raise the money to buy them, Football takes it. They need it for something... since the uniforms are owned by the school, parents can not order them, they are also expensive as hell.
It was a fun way to spend a Saturday. I am going into making cheer bows, those ladies charge 20 dollars a pop for them!
