I am starting this thread with the express purpose of practicing my German. There are rules.
1. Anyone can join provided they post in Deutsche.
2. English is permitted if you are correcting someone's grammar or explaining something about a translation.
3. PLEASE lets correct each other!
4. They do not have to be long posts, a sentence or two minimum.
With that said -
Hallo! Ich bin eine Frau und eine Mama. Ich liebe meinen Sohn!

I really love the idea behind this thread but feel saddened at the fact it has gone stagnant. What I would suggest is finding additional people to share their learnings of a language to share or teach. Like I'm learning thai right now. I could share words I learn in exchange for words you have learned in German.
How about basics.
Thai is a tonal language so important to pronounce correctly. I cannot sound out but will do my best to spell so you can pronounce it correctly. I would still suggest you google sound or run through Google translator to hear what it sound like.
After one speaks, they say a word to represent politeness/respect.
Women = Ka (K?)
Men = Krup (Cup) Seriously...lol
I am male therefore I will speak in male form.
Hello = Sawadee Krup (Sow?dee Cup) ??????????
***to be continued***
Sorry to hijack thread....just think we could do and use more of this....learning languages is important for communication and cultural understanding. It should be mandatory in school...not optional. Plus...always nice to know what some asshole is saying when they don't think you inderstand...lol

Ich genieße überlegene Qualität Bockwurst in einem langen Brötchen, vor allem mit preisgekrönten Saucen. Wenn die Wurst richtig gedämpft ist, sollte sie bei jedem Bissen knacken.
