Little birds and the Imaginal realms;

I have one little brown speckled bird really looking at me this morning while waking up, having coffee,..he's been at various windows and glass doors, right up close.

Looking, peeking, curious:)

I was recently told by someone who doesn't know me, that life is for living and less dreaming.

Of course that was about themselves probably, but it gave me some pause to sift through.

This person was not, is not, aware of my ways, or that I value reflection and introspection, and that dreaming has been taken away to the great detriment in my opinion from many peoples lives.

There is a vast chasm of difference between 'fantasy', and 'dreaming', and that this came from an 'artist' was even more startling.

Artists deal with the dream world, the imaginal realms. The ethereal and the ephemeral are imbued in our very being, our way of seeing.

And we are all artists of our own lives.

Conscious dreaming is a great way to practice trial and error, a great way to weave and play with ideas, and even ideals.

A way to harness, focus, determine.

Intentional dreaming creates pathways in the brain, allowing life to follow that in the more physical form with much greater ease.

Integrated dreaming is far from falsehood, magical thinking, or illusion,..or 'wishing'..it is work, and requires follow through and action.

Visualisation allows clarity.

Dreamweaving is an artform all on it's own.

Feelings created, get our neurons firing, chemicals surge through our body...and these things are very very much physical.

We change our inner and the outer naturally follows.

Dreaming when used rightly is a kindof Grace.

I feel that you and Phara should trip during a phone call and record that. This is the sort of thing I want to read and hear echo in barely audible sounds while I'm in certain states myself.

Beautiful. Dreaming of distant lands, of this land, of other fish, of seas teeming with strangers...yet to be friends.
Peace to all.

What a sensual metaphor. Well rounded poem, "The Gardener." The ending of it is perfect. I am awed at the talent you present in this forum. If you have time, I would appreciate any feedback you have on my poetry. I am doing an open mic soon, thus I need to distille my poems to a purer essence. Your poem whispers across my mind, begging me to write a sensual piece. Thank you for sharing.
Peace to all.
