More craft than art but I think we have all seen and bought various devices for cutting bottles. I'm sure I bought 8 or 10 over the years. This one works>

I have made glasses from corona bottles, the bottom of a colored bottles with thick bottoms can be cutoff and used for a glass tile , then the top can be used as a candle wind guard or Chimney with tea lights or jar candles. I have seen the chimney affect used to make a very cool hang lamp with shade.
